Starting Saturday, June 26th the team captains will be leading through summer running. A general outline of what the team will be doing on any given day and where practice will be held can be found here. All practices will begin at 9:00am and may last anywhere from 1 hour to an hour and 45 minutes depending on the length of the run (check the outline for a general idea of practice length). For quick reference:
Mondays will be at the Watershed
Tuesdays will be at Leota Jr High
Wednesdays are optional, but at WHS if you go (and the captains will have a hike or other activity planned)
Thursdays will rotate, captains will pick between any of the team’s practice spots
Fridays will be at WHS
Saturdays will be at the Watershed (except for the first day, June 26th will be at the WHS track)
This schedule will continue until practice starts on August 23rd. Everyone is encouraged to come out, summer running is a great opportunity to get ahead of the season and lay a base that will greatly improve your speed and endurance over the season. Make this your best season ever!

Athletes and parents,
Last fall I announced that I would be stepping down to the assistant coaching position and have since been affirming to several of you my relationship with the XC program and distance events for track. I was not intentionally misleading you. The administration and head track coach have decided to move in a new direction and I am no longer engaged in any official capacity with either team. I will be available unofficially as a resource to anyone who feels I can be of service.
I am very grateful for the time I was able to spend with the teams and will continue to root for the Falcons through the finish line. Have a wonderful year and keep your race face on!

And as promised (and because this was taken @ Kelso HS); a fantastic race face picture circa 1995.
